As early as the 2000s, Alexandre and Noam developed a passion for this new generation of craft distillers and their need for new barrels to refine their precious whiskies.
Ascend is a living collection of gems,produced by this new generation of distillers from all corners of the world. Our ambition is twofold: to gather these creations before they become inaccessibleand to preserve a record of the journey this gifted generation has taken toward excellence .
So that this demanding heritage may endure…and so that others, tomorrow, may go even further.
Rothschild Departure
Alexandre leaves Baron Philippe de Rothschild after 15 years of experience in wine, fascinated by the art of aging in barrels.
Birth of ASC Barrels
Advising distilleries and cooperages, Alexandre and Noam launch ASC Barrels and create the NEOC, a recycled barrel of great Bordeaux wines.
Discovery of refined honey
During the COVID-19 lockdown, Noam became passionate about beekeeping and created an artisanal honey aged in rum barrels.
Ascend takes flight
The finished products ofASC Barrels, whiskies and honeys, are marketed under the common Ascend banner.
